Profits are low and the "knee jerk" reaction is to sell more, maybe advertise or launch a direct mail campaign. Right? Maybe not. It is imperative to analyze your business before you head into a marketing program. Spending thousands of dollars on an advertisement only to result in missed calls, appointments and overbooking can hurt your brand instead of helping it. Especially in a service oriented business, when the customer experience is everything. There seems to be a trend with small to mid-sized service companies that have huge gaps in their business processes. The main issue being that they are not charging enough for their services. Adding more clients to an over worked staff is not the best way to grow a brand, nor a business. Working together with the right team to review your business and then move forward to create a marketing plan, can grow your business right. |
